Your role

You own the architecture, automation, and reliability of Major Tom, our AI-driven DevOps platform. You design and scale our multi-cloud infrastructure, build advanced deployment frameworks (canary, blue-green, progressive delivery), and establish GitOps-driven Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and CloudFormation. You lead the Kubernetes orchestration, security, and chaos engineering initiatives to deliver self-healing, zero-downtime systems capable of global scale.

As a founding engineer, you’ll define the blueprint for autonomous cloud operations, building pipelines, observability, and resilience into every layer of the platform. You set the standard for velocity, reliability, and engineering precision that enables Major Tom to evolve, adapt, and operate without human intervention.

What you bring

• Cloud Leadership: Proven track record defining and executing DevOps roadmaps across AWS and multi-cloud environments.

• Architecture: Deep experience designing and deploying advanced release strategies, canary, blue-green, progressive delivery, traffic shadowing, and security best practices.

• Container Orchestration: Expert in optimising Kubernetes/Docker deployments, microservices lifecycle management, and resource efficiency.

• Infrastructure & Automation: Strong background in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation) and GitOps workflows; skilled in Bash/Python scripting with an “automate everything” philosophy.

• Incident & Chaos Engineering: You design self-healing, resilient systems and efficient on-call processes using tools like Gremlin and LitmusChaos.

• Startup execution mindset: You have shipped 0→1 products fast with high ownership, autonomy, and accountability

• Curious, pragmatic problem solver: You experiment quickly, learn deeply, and optimise for impact over theory

• Direct communicator: You value clarity and feedback as tools for speed, improvement, and alignment

• Demonstrated impact: You have impressive achievements from previous jobs and from side projects. Please share them with us.
